Happy Friday! I hope this gets you prepped for the weekend. This shot was taken last month at the beach near Newport. We had some great times "camping" in the Yurts out there and the scenery was pretty incredible. This sunset was one of the richest I've ever come across. Here's to the weekend.
Made my way out to Bagby Hot Springs a few weeks ago. It's about??60 miles Southeast of Portland. As if the drive wasn't pretty enough, the hike was unbelievable. There are also a number of great swimming holes I'd like to check out next summer. I took these shots carefully using the ground as my tripod. They're not tack sharp, but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.
The background on this one almost looks like a watercolor. Taken on the coast in the Umpqua Dunes Scenic Area with a Pentax 6 x 7 and Fuji Pro 160 C color film. More to come...
This is a photograph of the water droplets that formed on my tent overnight from the heavy fog on the coast. I was camped just over the last??berm from the beach in the Umpqua Dunes Scenic Area and waking up that morning was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. With fog so thick I could hardly see 10 feet in the distance, I was able to let go of everything except that very moment. Fears, regrets, obligations, and even dreams...nothing else mattered for that instant. If you look closely, you can see my reflection in the droplets.
